In November 2019, Stone Sword Games began a kickstarter campaign for their upcoming card game for Hogs of War. Working alongside Ian Stewart, the team started the kickstarter with a goal of £6000. This goal was eventually smashed and tripled by the hogs community, who in total managed to raise £19,627 for the card game, unlocking multiple stretch goals. The success of the card game was followed by an additional game & kickstarter for Hogs of War: The Miniatures Game in September 2020. This time around the community outdid itself, raising a grand total £112,121!
The initial release of the card game saw just two teams in the base pack - The Tommy's Trotters and The Sow-A-Krauts. This was updated in the Bay of Pigs Expansion Pack, which saw the inclusion of Piggystroika and the Uncle Hams Hogs, upping the game from 2 to 4 players. The Expansion also saw the introduction of new weapon & equipment cards, including the likes of the Ray Gun, Mind Control Device and Molotov Cocktail.

As well as a physical release of the card game - Stone Sword Games also produced a digital version that can be played on Table Top Simulator over on Steam. The digital version contains the majority of the cards from both the base game and the expansion, with the exception of the Lord Flashog & Father Hogmas Cards. Check it out on Steam!
After the success of the card game, Stone Sword Games proceeded to raise the bar with their new Hogs project - The Miniatures Game. The Kickstarter campaign offered up dozen of stretch goals, including higher quality materials, extra buildings, new vehicles, weapons, sculptures, game modes and more. Since the end of the Kickstarter - Stone Sword Games continue to produce updates showcasing the state of production and the overall development of the miniatures themselves, along with extras thrown in. Late pledges can still be made, so check out the Kickstarter page and Stone Sword Games Social Media below!
Just like they did with the card game, Stone Sword Games have also released a digital version of The Miniatures Game over on Table Top Simulator. This release features the base game assets (miniatures, cards, vehicles, base building blocks etc.) as well as the additional Team Lard Singleplayer Expansion. Check them out below!
